An outstanding everyday espresso that delivers the reliability and versatility of classic community lots often sourced from Brazil, Peru, or Colombia while showcasing Ethiopia’s unique high-altitude terroir and signature complexity.

Certified Organic, Rainforest Alliance, & Fairtrade, the lot reflects both high-value and ethical integrity. Roasted specifically for Espresso; this 2025 heirloom offers a remarkably balanced profile of refined sweetness, medium body without heaviness, elegant brightness, and a clean finish.

During peak harvest, owner Hayatudin employs around 400 workers over three quarters of them women, further underscoring the group’s commitment to sustainable and socially responsible production.

Fahem is female owned and operated; during peak harvest Hayatudin will employ about 400 workers, more than ¾ female. She tends to her flock, investing significantly in the local primary school, and certifying her farm UTZ, which speaks to her commitment to social, environmental and economic responsibilities.

This specific coffee lot originates from the renowned production belt of the Oromia Regional State, specifically the Atnago/Limmu Seka district in the Jimma Zone.

The region’s high elevations and abundant rainfall contribute to a distinctive cup profile.

JFMACU is known for producing high-quality washed and natural coffees that are cultivated at elevations ranging from 1,800 to 2,300 meters above sea level.

The union operates in prominent coffee-growing areas such as Mana, Kersa, Shebe, Seka Chekorsa, and Mencho, covering 11,073 hectares of production area as of 2023.

The region's favorable tropical climate and abundant rainfall contribute to the distinctiveness of its coffee.

The union exports coffee to international markets, including Europe, the USA, Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, Taiwan, and the Middle East.

In addition to coffee production, the union actively supports community development projects. These include constructing schools and health centers, providing clean water, and supporting educational initiatives. Such efforts aim to improve the living standards of farmers and their communities.
